As anticipated, the scheduled Parish Council meeting and AGM due to take place on the 11th May is postponed and will be rearranged when restrictions on public meetings are lifted.
The Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 came into force on 4 April. Among other considerations, the Regulations modify existing legislative provisions to remove the requirement for local authorities to hold annual meetings, and to enable requirements for public and press access to local authority meetings and associated documents to be complied with through remote means and website access.
Please note that the Accounts and Audit (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 came into force on 30th April 2020 and allow a 3 month delay in publishing the Parish Council accounts for FY 2019/20.
